Hi, there! I am so glad that you are here. As this is my first blog post, I thought of introducing myself here. Read on to get to know me and why I started this blog. And I would love to get to know you as well, so please consider dropping your name and favourite food, which part of the world are you from, what are your favourite movies or TV shows, or anything interesting about yourself in the comments!
My name is Adriana Rodricks. I was born and raised in Maharashtra, but my native is Goa. Ah! Goa, My favourite place, and the only state I've been to save Maharashtra and Karnataka! I am a student pursuing BA, majoring in English Literature. This is important, because it is one of my motivations to start this blog. I am fluent in English, and I can safely say that it is my mother tongue, but I am pretty bad when it comes to writing down my thoughts. However, I earnestly wish to get better at it, and this is why I chose to start a blog, sharing my thoughts, experiences and things I am passionate about.
And that brings me to the things I am passionate about. I love drawing. I love reading. Drawing is my #1 hobby. I try to draw daily, but I fail miserably. Conflicting schedules, assignments, projects, you know... But when I do get the time draw, it is time spent most well. I love that feeling when I pick up my pen and create numerous strokes in my sketchbook after a long, long hiatus - it is so very relaxing and calming. Reading is another 'top' hobby. I am an enthusiast of classic novels. My current favourite is And Then There Were None. And The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. And The Murder on the Orient Express. I can't get enough of Agatha Christie. I also enjoyed reading The Complete Novels of Sherlock Holmes.
Recently, I have also developed a great liking for (nature-related) documentaries. I have watched some episodes of Our Planet Season 1 on Netflix. It has created in me a profound appreciation for nature and its breathtaking diversity. The miniseries Chernobyl is another favourite of mine. I usually don't watch TV shows, because I do not have the patience to get through them, but I watched Mind Your Language not long ago, and I must say that it is one of the best shows I've watched.
Finally, I think my love for chocolates deserves a mention. I have a sweet tooth, and I can't say no to chocolate, especially dark chocolate and milk chocolate.
If you made it so far, I thank you for reading and being part of this little journey; and welcome to my blog!
