My pick of September is And Then There Were None, written by Agatha Christie. This book was voted The World's Favourite Christie, by over 15,000 people worldwide.
About the author: Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie, DBE was an English detective writer, known popularly for her fictional creation of the sleuths Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. She has authored 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections revolving around these fictional detectives. Her books will amaze you and will give you the ultimate whodunit experience.
Plot: A group of ten strangers are invited to an island off the coast of Devon, England. They are invited by a person only known as U. N. Owen to them. The party is greeted by the housekeepers, who have themselves arrived just two days ago. Things start to get sinister when all ten are accused of grisly crimes by a haunting recording. The plot becomes gripping, as one by one, the strangers are found dead in mysterious ways, with striking resemblance to the nursery rhyme Ten Little Soldiers, which also happens to be hung in each of the strangers' rooms.
